Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that he misses Manchester United and the Premier League but insisted he is happy at Real Madrid.
Real have sought to tie Ronaldo down to a new contract as he enters the last two years of his current deal but the Portugal international has thus far stalled on putting pen to paper.
That has led to speculation the forward could be set for a return to England, with former club Manchester United reported to be ready to make a move for his services.
But Ronaldo was coy on the rumours and declared that he is enjoying his time in Spain.
Speaking at a function for the Singapore Olympic Foundation Peter Lim Scholarship, he said: I miss English football.
For me, it was one of the best years in my career when I was there in Manchester United. Everyone knows that it is a club that is still in my heart and I really, really miss.
But now my life is in Spain. I am enjoying playing there too.
Part of my life is there, but in the future we never know. I am really, really happy in the Spanish league.
Ronaldo scored 188 goals in all competitions for United before securing an £80 million move to the Bernabeu in 2009.
